The camo look, normally more of a men’s fashion and normally reserved for battlefields or hiding in duck blinds camo is being spotted everywhere. Camo is one of those fashion staples that we’ll see time and time again. The camo is a tough, more rugged look and it is really easy to pull it off by pairing with something more polished, almost preppie to give you that more sophisticated, chic look. For example, wearing camo jeans with a T-shirt can make you look like you’re “going to play paintball,” but add some high heels and a beautiful necklace and you have an unexpected finesse.
Here are some basics do’s and don’ts for the camo look:
1. DO accessorize.
Camo is a very masculine print but accessorizing will help keep you from looking too boyish.
2. DON’T wear it head-to-toe.
Camo is great on everything from jeans to dresses to bags, but limit yourself to one camo piece at a time if you don’t want to look like you’re going hunting in the woods.
3. DO add color.
Camo looks great paired with black, white, and other neutrals, but it also works with bold neons and even soft pastels. Adding a little color helps soften the look and makes it feel a little more fun.
4. DO show some skin.
You want to show at least a little skin when you are wearing camo so it doesn’t look like you’re wearing army fatigues.
